Terms of service

These draft terms describe the rules the product actually enforces. Where a rule is enforced by the database rather than by policy, it says so — that distinction matters to a reviewer.

What the service is

TradeFx is a simulated trading service. You are issued practice capital and you take positions on live market prices. The prices are real market data; the capital is not real money.

Nothing in the service is an investment, a security, a brokerage account, or financial advice. We do not hold client money for trading, we do not execute orders on any exchange on your behalf, and a trading balance has no cash value.

Eligibility

You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction and legally permitted to use a service of this kind. One account per person. Creating additional accounts — in particular to influence contest standings or referral attribution — is grounds for closure and forfeiture of unpaid commission.

Availability by territory, and any territory-specific restrictions, must be determined by counsel and listed here before launch.

Wallets and what can be withdrawn

Accounts have separate balances that hold fundamentally different things, and transfers between them are impossible by design.

  • Trading balance: practice capital issued for the season. Not withdrawable, not transferable, no cash value.
  • Main balance: real money from partner commission and contest prizes. Withdrawable once it reaches the minimum payout amount and identity verification is complete.
  • Reward points: convert one way only, into account credit. Credit never converts back into points, and points are not withdrawable.

Contracts and settlement

The opening price is recorded and hashed when a contract is accepted. At expiry, settlement uses the first price recorded at or after the expiry time, compared at the instrument's quoted precision. A move in your chosen direction wins; a move against you loses; an identical price at that precision is a tie and returns your stake in full.

The payout rate is copied onto the contract when it opens, so later rate changes are never retroactive. If no price is recorded within three seconds of expiry, or the only available price comes from a different source than the opening price, the contract is voided and the stake returned.

Expiry is measured on our servers. Orders are rejected when the latest price is older than the freshness limit for that asset class rather than settled against data neither party can trust.

No performance representation

We publish the payout rate for each instrument and the settlement rule, and nothing more. We make no representation about any return, and we do not publish typical, average, projected or guaranteed results. Any figure of that kind presented to you as ours is not ours.

Partner programme

Participation is free. Commission is a share of subscription revenue we have actually collected, across two levels only, at the rates published in your partner dashboard. Nothing is paid for sign-ups, balances, trading volume, or your team's earnings.

Commission is held for a review period before becoming withdrawable. If the underlying payment is refunded or reversed, the commission is reversed; where it has already cleared, the reversal is offset against future earnings.

Misrepresenting the service when referring people — in particular presenting practice results as real-money returns, or promising anyone an income — terminates participation and forfeits unpaid commission.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to manipulate price feeds, settlement timing, contest standings or referral attribution; do not automate access in a way that degrades the service for others; and do not attempt to access another account.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as-is and may be interrupted for maintenance or by upstream data-provider failure. We may change instruments, payout rates, durations and plan features; changes apply to contracts opened afterwards.

Liability, governing law and disputes

The limitation of liability, warranty disclaimer, indemnity, governing law, venue and dispute-resolution clauses have deliberately been left unwritten. Drafting them is exactly the work that requires a qualified lawyer, and filling them with borrowed boilerplate would create false confidence that they had been considered.
